Some extra places to earn some money/prizes...

  • Voxpop is a site that lets the users pick the winners of entertainment and fashion brackets. You can pick either who you think will win, or what you think the majority of the people will think to win. Then at the end of the contest period, whoever has the most points (earned by guessing the correct order that the majority picked the winners) wins the prize listed for that contest. I recently won a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate for getting one of the top scores in an entertainment bracket.
  • Consumer Village is like a survey site with a twist. It asks questions, but your answers are all open ended. It's a forum and you respond to "sponsored" questions to earn points. You can also answer typical surveys to get points as well. At the end of each quarter they send you the amount you have earned in the form of an Amazon Gift Certificate. I so far have $7 in rewards from two quarters.

Since my last post, the main thing I have earned is a $25 MasterCard Gift Card from NetWinner.

What sites I use to make money...

Ok, so to start out, I'll just give a little description of the sites I go to to earn some money.

  • TreasureTrooper is a pretty good site to get from $20-$100 a month (although you can make more) just by doing some easy offers and surveys. I discovered it back in August, but then pretty much forgot about it until November, and have recently gotten into it. You can earn money for every offer you complete (which is basically just putting in an email address and clicking no to a bunch of offers... I do it while watching tv and doing other stuff online so I don't get bored and I'm making money while doing stuff I would be doing anyway). You also earn gold coins for the offers which you can use to earn more money through a treasure hunt that will win you $100 if you complete it or you can use them in a slot machine to win more money. After every offer you complete you get a chance to win a pearl (which can be obtained in other ways as well) and when you get 8 pearls you can get a bracelet, which basically gets you the next 2 unreferred members who sign up for the site. You earn 20% for first level referrals, and 10% for any members they refer. You also can earn money back for doing shopping online at popular stores thru links from the site. There are also 2 daily surveys which let you win up to $1.75 a day.
What I earned in 2007: $59.62
What I have earned so far in 2008: $48.59 plus an extra $10 from a forum contest held by a member
  • ZoomPanel is a survey site I have been going to since last April. It has pretty interesting surveys, a lot of food ones for popular brands that let you shape new products. In the beginning I didn't get many surveys, but now I get them all the time. For each survey you complete you get Zoompoints which can be redeemed for prizes.
What I have earned so far: subscription to Cosmopolitan (2000 pts) and Elle (1000 pts) magazines
Current Points: 5105, most likely going to redeem at 7500 for a tent
  • Creationsrewards is similar to Treasuretrooper, but not as much fun, so I've kind of stopped going on it. I really only use it now for shopping, it has more stores then TreasureTrooper, so if I plan on shopping online, I go here a lot of the time to get points back for what I buy.
What I have earned in 2007: $10 Barnes and Noble Gift Card, $10 Chilis GC, $10 Applebees GC
What I've earned so far in 2008: $10 Chilis GC
  • Lightspeed Panel is another survey site. I don't get as many survey offers that I qualify for, but they're all pretty interesting.
What I've earned in 2007: $10 Brinker (Mac Grill/Chilis etc) Giftcard
What I've earned so far in 2008: $10 Brinker GC
  • OpinionOutpost is my favorite survey site. They have a lot of fun surveys, and they pay in cash. The surveys also can pay up to $10 each, and none are too long.
What I earned in 2007: $31.60
What I have earned so far in 2008: $20.40
  • Netwinner is something I've been testing. I haven't earned any money from it yet, but it's just a mindless game I keep open all day when I'm online. It has a bingo like game, and a lottery type thing. I just click on it when I'm doing other things. Once you reach 25,000 points you can get a $25 gift certificate. It seems to take a while to get there, but it doesn't really take time to do it, so I'm trying it anyway.
Points I have so far: 15,232
  • Blingo is a search engine that gives you a chance to win prizes the first 20 times a day you use it. I have it in my toolbar, so I just use it to search like you would use Google or Yahoo. I haven't won anything yet, but the guy who referred me has won a ton, so I'm hopeful!
  • OnlineSweepstakes is different then the others. It just lists a ton of sweepstakes, so I use Mozilla Fireform, an add-on that fills forms out easily for me and I enter a bunch of contests that interest me. I discovered it last year but I didn't do too much with it. Then one of my friends told me they won a gift certificate the day after they found it, so the past few weeks I've gone on a couple times and I've won twice.
What I've won this year: A 10 inch Brookstone Digital Photo Frame; A SoapNet prize pack of pajamas, candy, and popcorn

I haven't gotten much yet, but I also don't spend much time doing any of these things, just a little bit each day while I'm watching tv and doing homework and stuff online.

My 2008 total so far: $98.99 (including giftcards) plus prizes...
